Heat up nicely; 8 x 400m, 200m jog, at Mile tempo, Tempo run, 20 minutes, (at 20 second per mile over present 5k race tempo), 8 x 200m, 200m jog, 200m at mile tempo, last 2 x 200m at 800m tempo, cooldown
Hydrate and stretch. At all times hydrate.
Make plans for spring racing. Write down your objectives for the season in your iPhone or iPad or on a postcard, and browse them daily. Goals are fulfilled by way of laborious work!
