In a press release F1 stated: “System 1 has maintained a dialogue with Common Motors, and its companions at TWG World, concerning the viability of an entry following the industrial evaluation and resolution made by System 1 in January 2024.
“Over the course of this 12 months, they’ve achieved operational milestones and made clear their dedication to model the eleventh crew GM/Cadillac, and that GM will enter as an engine provider at a later time. The settlement comes after F1 rejected Andretti’s bid in partnership with GM earlier this 12 months, with a brand new supply set to be thought-about for 2028.
