The Faculty of Alameda named Gary Payton Sr. as the brand new head coach of the boys’s basketball workforce.
“In the course of the interview course of, he spoke about having our student-athletes locally, giving again. The power and keenness that he brings alongside together with his real love for the East Bay is unmatched,” stated athletic director Ramaundo Vaughn.
Payton was the pinnacle coach of NAIA Lincoln College in Oakland for the previous three years.
The Faculty of Alameda went 7-21 final season.Â
