Toss Australia selected to bowl first vs England
Australia have gained the toss and chosen to bowl first within the opening match of the Ladies’s Ashes, the primary ODI at North Sydney Oval.
She makes up the seam bowling contingent for this match alongside Lauren Bell and allrounder Nat Sciver-Brunt, with Sophie Ecclestone and Charlie Dean spearheading the spin division with play set to start beneath shiny sunshine and clear skies.
Australia, in the meantime, have gone for tempo with Darcie Brown chosen forward of spinner Georgia Wareham. As anticipated with captain Alyssa Healy again from a knee harm to bat and maintain wicket, younger opener Georgia Voll stays on the bench.
