Former interim featherweight champion Yair Rodriguez snapped a two-fight skid on Saturday, dominating former multiple-time Bellator champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire on the UFC 314 essential card in Miami.
Rodriguez largely nullified Freire’s offense by controlling distance and using a wide range of kicks. The combat went the space however Rodriguez was the clear winner. Following the combat, the Mexican contender claimed he was promised a title shot if he beat Freire.
